The New ACM Website!

Hey, welcome to the new ACM website. Looks the same, right? Thats what I'm hoping. The new website here is built upon the powerful Drupal CMS. This means a lot of great things, but I figure everyone will enjoy a nice list of them:

• Image Galleries - I've imported the images that were on the website from 3 years ago.
• Maintainability - Compared to Joomla, Drupal is thousands of times easier at keeping a website maintained, both with software upgrades and content management.
• A working Wiki - The old site only used MediaWiki to edit our constitution draft. This new site has a complete wiki for everyone to use for anything.
• Messaging system
• RSS Feeds
• Polls
• News comments
• Online meeting minutes
• Better event management

There's also a few items I've worked on for us administrators to make things awesome:

• An "Officer's Handbook" - An easy manual on running the ACM, the website, and everything else for future generations to use.
• Easier content creation
• Easy meeting minute creation
• Mass user messaging

So basically, if you can think of something you wanted on the old site, you'll probably find it here in the new one. Online collaboration is a handy thing, and I've fine-tuned the new ACM site for just that. I hope that if I get anything done as president this year, it's to make our website into something that really helps us and future years out.
