Hey,
I think since we have some new peoples as members with the ACM we should have a little meet everyone thing. For example go around and everyone says their Name, Year, programming languages know/ preferred and a something random like favorite Mountain Dew flavor.

So... Dunno why everyone is so shy about this. I'll go first and break the ice, since that's sort of what I do.
My name is Kat Bradley. I'm the secretary and former treasurer of the club. I'm also a senior computer science major with minors in math and spanish. I know Java best, but am growing to like C++. Hate C with a passion. And I actually do like lisp, believe it or not.
If I do end up going to a straight up computer science grad school, I'll probably specialize in AI, but right now, I want to do a more real-world-application program like Computing Organizations and Society. If you see me stressing out at any point this semester, it's probably because I'm trying to apply for said program.
I don't really drink mountain dew because I'm type 2 diabetic. I can't handle the sugar in regular soda, and diet mountain dew tastes like piss. My preferred caffeinated beverage is diet coke.
I happen to be a pokemon addict, so I propose one more random question: what's your favorite pokemon and why? Mine is vulpix. It's a fire type (always a plus), and the perfect balance of cute and kick ass. Plus it's on the original 150 list and mildly hard to catch in most versions of the game.
Now someone else has to go. I nominate the officers first.

Hello. My name is Trever Fischer. I'm the current president. I apparently screwed something up because prior to being president I was member for less than a semester. I am a 3rd year CS major with unkept hair. Should be easy to find, right?
Once I'm done with my CSBS here at Akron, I'll do one of four things:
1) Stay at akron, helping to improve the CS program while I earn a master's on my way to getting a PhD at MIT in AI.
2) Go to MIT for a master's, leaving akron's CS program to live in squalor.
3) Find a job to make money to afford getting to that AI PhD at MIT
4) Get another BS in another major just for the hell of it.
My favorite language is C++. I tell everyone my least favorite language is Java, but thats mostly because of Sun's fault. Using the Android API has taught me that there actually are some Java API designers out there with a clue. Java can be a really cool language as long as you don't use the Java libraries. Other languages I swear by include PHP, C, JavaScript, Perl, LISP, ZSH scripting, brainfuck, and C++. Also, C++.
When I'm not busy running the ACM I enjoy performing my Fedora Ambassador duties to spread free software, developing for the KDE project, and long walks on the beach. I'm proud to say that with the exception of my windows gaming machine, and work, I have used 100% free software for almost 5 years. Its a beautiful thing to use software you helped to make, and you know won't break when you need it most.
My favorite Mtn Dew flavour is water.
My favorite pokemon is Bulbasaur. He kicks ass and I'll vine whip you if you say otherwise.

I'm Chad Vincent. I'm the resident Creepy Old Guy™. I'm also the former President and current Social Director. I was elected President last year because nobody else was eligible. (The only other people who showed up to meetings 2nd Semester were graduating Seniors.)
If I ever finish my CSBS, I will proceed to not change jobs out of fear of being unqualified, and go bankrupt from school loans being greater than my current income. Either that or go on to get a BS in Applied Math and an MA in either Math or CS, and teach Intro to CS and Calculus to High School students.
My favorite language is English, because it's the only one I speak fluently. However, French spoken softly by a pretty girl is very nice to hear, even if I don't understand it.
When I'm not doing ACM things, I'm a married homeowner (1 year and 3 years, respectively), a Systems Administrator (8 years) for a small company, and the bass player for Mad Crush (7 years).
My favorite flavor of Mountain Dew (There are VOWELS, people! I don't care what the can says!) is Ski.
I don't play Pokemon, because Crack the Gathering stole all my money first.
